Global Supply Chain Manager

Within the Business Unit Gunnebo Entrance Control (BUEC), we are looking for a person that could fit into the Operation Central Resources Structure and support the whole of BUEC operations.

The role of the Global Supply Chain Manager (GSCM) is primarily focussed on:

  • Direct material spend projects – reducing costs of products 
  • Integration and consolidation of supply chains to improve the end to end supply chain process and costs
  • Developing new suppliers to meet growth, quality, cost and localisation targets
  • Develop the Americas supply chain to support specific growth objectives in the USA

Summary of Role

  • Will be responsible for defining and delivering the Global Supply Chain Strategy in line with business plan for BUEC
  • Will use a data driven approach to identify opportunities for global collaboration with key suppliers with the aim of minimising the supply chain complexity, enhancing robustness of supply, optimising costs and supporting new product development activities
  • Will be part of the Operations Central Team and will be a stakeholder in evolving the operations strategy
  • Will be required to work closely with all plants and other teams, ensuring collaboration and alignment on all new purchasing proposals

Key responsibilities

  • To optimise the supply chain network to minimise direct costs and reduce supply risks
  • Identify gaps in the supply chain and scout and approve new suppliers to mitigate these gaps 
  • Develop long term global supplier agreements to enhance our relationship with suppliers and ensure preferred customer status
  • Identify and manage supply chain risks and commodity price trends to ensure pro-active actions are taken to mitigate
  • Work with all stakeholders to agree the agenda and priorities and then execute the plan by engaging and working collaboratively 
  • Provide quarterly reports on all actions and results showing clear and aligned plans
  • Supplier scouting and approval in line with the supply chain requirements
  • Any other additional work, responsibilities and duties for the Company or any Group Company within the role holder's capacity in accordance with their skills and capabilities

Experience requirements

  • Previous experience managing and negotiating with suppliers 
  • Demonstratable experience in Supply chain development and management
  • Relevant experience in industrial engineering / assembly company. Ideally with sheet metal, electronics and motor experience
  • Cross functional experience with the proven ability to support and motivate staff
  • Good cross site project management

Knowledge / Education requirements

  • Relevant academic, business, professional or vocational qualifications in management and/or leadership are highly advantageous. 
  • Demonstratable knowledge of change management principles
  • Sound working knowledge of general business processes and organisational framework, such as goals, strategy, culture and structure
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of verbal and written English

Gunnebo Entrance Control S.p.A., Lavis, TN, Italy or COMINFO in Czech Republic.

The nature of this role will require the person to travel globally about 25% of their time.
